Social assistance rates have stagnated over the past several decades, resulting in overburdened shelter systems, rampant food insecurity, and an overall diminished quality of life for vulnerable low-income families and individuals across all of Ontario.
Please help us support low-income Durham Region Residents by writing an email to [email protected], and/or your local MPP to tell them you support an increase to Ontario's Social Assistance rates. You can find contact info for your local MPP HERE.
Remember: an increase to these rates will benefit all Ontarians. Even a short email will do. Just make sure you include your name and address, so the letter will be considered legitimate.
